We are looking for an experienced Engineering Lead with solid hands-on expertise in Python, AWS and Terraform/IaC.
The ideal candidate should have strong product development experience, excellent communication skills and a proven track record of working on large-scale engineering projects. The candidate should be capable of providing technical leadership while remaining hands-on with engineering and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and contribute to the design, development and delivery of scalable software products.
• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams and guide technical decisions.
• Develop and maintain applications using Python.
• Design, deploy and manage cloud-based solutions on AWS.
• Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Participate in architecture, system design and technical discussions.
• Drive engineering best practices around scalability, reliability, security and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, QA, DevOps and other stakeholders.
• Review technical solutions and provide guidance to team members.
• Troubleshoot complex technical and production issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development and deployment processes.
Mandatory Technical Skills
Python
• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience developing production-grade applications.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, coding practices and debugging.
AWS
Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
Candidates should have practical experience with multiple AWS services. Examples may include:

Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform.
• Experience provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Experience creating or maintaining reusable Terraform modules.
• Experience managing infrastructure across multiple environments.
• Understanding of Terraform state management and infrastructure automation.
• Experience integrating Terraform with CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
Product Development Experience
• Strong experience working in a product development environment.
• Experience working on large-scale or complex products/projects.
• Should have exposure to the complete software development lifecycle.
• Experience working with cross-functional engineering and product teams.
Leadership & Communication
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong technical leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to mentor and guide engineering teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Candidate Profile
• 9-15 years of overall software engineering experience.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Strong AWS experience with clearly demonstrable hands-on usage of AWS services.
• Strong Terraform / IaC experience.
• Good product development background.
• Experience working on sizeable engineering projects.
• Demonstrated career stability.
• Excellent communication skills.
