Job Summary

We are looking for an Electrical Control Panel Design Engineer with strong knowledge of AutoCAD and EPLAN to develop electrical drawings and engineering documentation for Control Panels, MCC, PCC, PLC/VFD and Automation Panels.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare SLD, GA, Layout, Schematic, Wiring and Terminal drawings for electrical control panels.
- Develop detailed panel drawings using EPLAN and AutoCAD.
- Prepare panel GA, component layout, mounting plate, door layout, busbar and fabrication drawings.
- Select and incorporate electrical components such as MCCB, MCB, MPCB, contactors, relays, VFDs, PLCs, SMPS, meters, CTs, terminals and control components.
- Prepare accurate wiring diagrams, terminal plans, cable schedules and BOMs.
- Ensure proper component placement, wiring accessibility, heat dissipation and manufacturability.
- Understand electrical SLDs and develop complete control panel schematics independently.
- Coordinate with Estimation, PLC/SCADA, Production, Purchase and Project teams.




- Review drawings and incorporate design/client/project revisions.
- Prepare manufacturing-ready drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.

Required Skills

- Strong working knowledge of EPLAN – mandatory.
- Good proficiency in AutoCAD 2D – mandatory.
- Ability to independently prepare SLDs and electrical schematics.
- Good understanding of control panel design, electrical components and panel wiring.
- Ability to read electrical specifications, datasheets and project drawings.
- Knowledge of MCC/PCC, PLC/VFD and automation panels.
- Positive understanding of electrical standards and drawing practices.
- Knowledge of panel fabrication and manufacturing processes will be an advantage.

Qualification & Experience

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- 1–4 years of relevant experience in Electrical Control Panel / Automation Panel Design.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in EPLAN + AutoCAD + Control Panel Design will be preferred.

Ideal Candidate

A technically strong and detail-oriented engineer who can independently convert project requirements into accurate, complete and manufacturing-ready electrical drawings, from SLD and schematic through GA, wiring and fabrication drawings.
