Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and business-oriented Power BI / Business Intelligence Developer who can develop, customize, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports based on business and user requirements for our U.S based client.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with available business data, understanding user requirements, creating customized dashboard views, and transforming data into meaningful reports and actionable insights. Experience with Microsoft platforms and tools is essential.

Candidates with a background in Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Inventory, or related business functions will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, customize, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
- Create user-specific dashboard views, reports, filters, and KPIs as required.
- Work with existing datasets and identify the best way to present data through dashboards and visualizations.
- Understand business requirements and convert them into effective Power BI solutions.
- Connect Power BI with various data sources and Microsoft platforms.
- Develop interactive dashboards with appropriate charts, tables, KPIs, filters, drill-downs, and reports.
- Perform data cleaning, transformation, and modeling using Power Query and Power BI.
- Create and maintain DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
- Manage report access and, where required, implement user-level data visibility/security.
- Work closely with business users to understand reporting requirements and continuously improve dashboards.
- Troubleshoot data/reporting issues and ensure accuracy and consistency of information.




- Maintain existing dashboards and modify them as business requirements change.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes using Microsoft tools.
- Prepare documentation for dashboards, data sources, calculations, and reporting processes.

Business / Operations Responsibilities

- Understand operational data and convert it into meaningful business insights.
- Work with teams such as Supply Chain, and Operations to understand their reporting requirements.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
- Valuable understanding of Microsoft platforms and business reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into dashboards.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently with business users and stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in Supply Chain, Operations.
- Experience working with ERP systems and operational/business data.
- Experience developing management dashboards and reports.
- Understanding of supply chain and operational KPIs.
- Experience with Microsoft tools such as Power Automate, SharePoint, Power Apps, or Microsoft platform builder.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in Power BI / Business Intelligence / Data Analytics.
- Candidates with a combination of Power BI expertise and Supply Chain/Operations experience will be highly preferred.
