Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead client acquisition, market expansion, and revenue generation across our cybersecurity, digital forensics, compliance, and advisory service portfolios.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, establishing relationships with corporate decision-makers, developing strategic accounts, and managing the complete business development lifecycle from prospect identification through commercial negotiations and engagement closure.
This position requires strong business acumen, consultative selling capabilities, relationship management skills, and the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Revenue Generation
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across corporate and institutional markets.
- Build a qualified sales pipeline through prospect research, outreach, referrals, networking, and strategic partnerships.
- Drive revenue growth through structured business development initiatives and account expansion.
- Take ownership of sales targets, pipeline conversion,
and commercial outcomes.
2. Corporate Client Acquisition
- Establish relationships with CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, IT Heads, Compliance Officers, General Counsel, Risk Heads, and senior management.
- Develop business opportunities with corporates, law firms, financial institutions, technology companies, and professional advisory firms.
- Conduct client meetings, discovery discussions and presentations to understand business requirements.
- Position Stellar Forensic's services through a consultative, solution-oriented approach.
3. Cybersecurity & Advisory Service Development
- Generate opportunities across Digital Forensics, Cyber Incident Response, eDiscovery, and Litigation Support.
- Promote Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing (VAPT), Security Audits and Cloud Security Assessments.
- Develop engagements involving ISO 27001, Data Privacy, Governance, Risk and Compliance advisory.
- Identify cross-selling and long-term advisory opportunities within existing client accounts.
4. Proposal Development & Commercial Management
- Coordinate with technical and advisory teams to develop client proposals, statements of work, and commercial submissions.
- Lead commercial discussions, negotiations, and follow-ups.
- Manage opportunities from initial engagement through proposal submission, negotiation and closure.
- Ensure client commitments are aligned with technical capabilities and delivery requirements.
5. Strategic Partnerships & Market Expansion
- Build referral and channel relationships with law firms, consulting organisations, IT service providers and industry associations.
- Identify emerging market requirements and potential service opportunities.
- Support corporate networking, industry events and strategic outreach initiatives.
- Strengthen the firm's market presence across priority sectors and geographies.
6. Sales Operations & Reporting
- Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity pipelines, and client interaction histories.
- Prepare periodic sales forecasts, business development reports, and performance updates.
- Monitor lead conversion, pipeline value, revenue performance, and account engagement.
- Coordinate with leadership on business development strategy and growth priorities.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- MBA in Marketing or Business Development preferred.
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in B2B business development, enterprise sales or professional services.
- Experience in cybersecurity, IT services, consulting, risk advisory, compliance or technology solutions preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads, acquire corporate clients, and close commercial engagements.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, LinkedIn prospecting, and digital business development channels.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and business development activities.
