Overview
You’ll help shape how cyber risk analysis is presented in TIDE. That means reports, dashboards and apps that are clear, useful and easy to trust. This role sits at the point where design and code meet. You’ll spend a good share of your time on user needs, sketches, wireframes, testing and review before code is finalised. You’ll work on tools that help underwriters and portfolio managers make decisions with more confidence. You’ll turn complex data into simple journeys, then help build the agreed design with support from the wider team. How You’ll Make an Impact You’ll work with the Delivery & Commercial Lead, clients and domain specialists to understand the decision a user needs to make. Then you’ll turn that into sketches, wireframes or prototypes that the team can review early. You’ll write clear specs with acceptance criteria, keep them current as the design changes, and help the wider team build against them. You’ll build parts of the product in Python, mainly with Streamlit and other web frameworks, within the architecture and standards set by the Technical Lead. You’ll work on authenticated workflows, data visualisations and integrations, and you’ll write clean, tested code under shared version control. When something needs deeper engineering, you’ll define it clearly and hand it over rather than filling the gap with a guess. You’ll test working software with representative users, watch where they pause or struggle, and revise the design from what they do. You’ll also bake in accessibility, performance and sensible error handling from the start. Over time, you’ll help build reusable interface components and patterns that make later products quicker to ship. About You Here’s what you’ll bring to the role: You’ll have worked on analytical applications, reports or dashboards where clear data presentation mattered.
You’ll have experience with user experience design and turning user needs into easy screens or journeys. You’ll be able to build in Python and you know Streamlit, or you can pick it up quickly. You’ll be comfortable writing SQL and working with data in pandas or Polars. You’ll know how to present data visually and when a chart helps or gets in the way. You’ll be able to explain complex ideas in simple terms and question a requirement when a simpler route would help the user more. You’ll have used AI coding tools such as Git Hub Copilot, Claude or ChatGPT, and you can show how you use prompts, context and checks to support your work. You’ll have a portfolio that shows both design thinking and shipped implementation. You’ll have supported or shipped a production Python application, or worked on data-heavy, analytical or regulated products.
