JOB DESCRIPTION – AREA MANAGER

Position: Area Manager
Division: Acute Therapy – Anti-Infective
Location: Western Mumbai
Coverage: Mira Road to Andheri
Experience: 3–4 Years as Area Manager
Team Handling: 5 Members
VOB: Rs. 30 Lakhs

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Area Manager with strong experience in Acute Therapy and Anti-Infective products. The candidate will be responsible for managing the assigned territory, handling a team of 5 members and achieving sales and business targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Team Management
- Manage and guide a team of 5 team members.
- Set team targets and monitor individual performance.
- Conduct regular field visits and joint working with team members.
- Train and motivate the team to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure proper implementation of sales strategies.

- Sales and Business Development

- Achieve assigned sales and business targets.
- Manage a VOB of approximately Rs. 30 Lakhs.
- Develop new business opportunities in the assigned territory.
- Increase product penetration and market share.
- Monitor sales performance and take necessary corrective actions.

- Territory Management

- Manage the territory covering Western Mumbai from Mira Road to Andheri.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with doctors, hospitals, distributors and stockists.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
- Ensure effective coverage of the assigned territory.





- Product and Therapy Management

- Promote Acute Therapy and Anti-Infective products.
- Ensure effective product detailing to doctors and healthcare professionals.
- Implement company marketing and sales strategies.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers.

Candidate Profile

- Graduate or equivalent qualification.
- 3–4 years of experience as an Area Manager in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Acute Therapy / Anti-Infective experience is mandatory.
- Experience with reputed pharmaceutical companies preferred.
- Experience in handling a team of around 5 members.
- Strong sales and business development experience.
- Good knowledge of the Western Mumbai market.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Target-oriented with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Mandatory Requirements

- Acute Therapy / Anti-Infective experience
- 3–4 years Area Manager experience
- Team handling experience
- VOB handling experience of around Rs. 30 Lakhs
- Western Mumbai market exposure preferred
- Valuable communication skills
