Role Description The Asst. Manager Direct Tax will manage and oversee direct tax assignments, including tax planning, tax computation, and tax return preparation for individuals and businesses. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing financial data, interpreting relevant tax laws, ensuring timely and accurate tax filings, and supporting tax assessments and audits. The role involves coordinating with clients, preparing documentation and working papers,



maintaining updated knowledge of direct tax regulations, and supporting senior managers with advisory projects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mangaluru, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver high-quality tax compliance and advisory services.
Qualifications

• Robust tax planning and tax strategy skills with the ability to optimize tax positions within legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in tax compliance and tax preparation, including filing of income tax returns and supporting documentation.
• Solid understanding of tax law and direct tax regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply provisions to client cases.
• Proficiency in direct tax concepts and practices, including tax computations, reconciliations, and handling tax notices.
