Currently, around 4,000 employees are working at CARIAD on the digital transformation of the car. CARIAD is working intensively on the software and technology platform for Premium Platform Electric (PPE). The first vehicles based on PPE will be the electric Porsche Macan and Audi Q6 e-tron. At the core of CARIAD is the development of the unified and scalable software and technology platform E³ 2.0 for all Group brands.



E³ stands for ‘end to end electronics architecture’. The new software and technology platform is built from scratch and will be used first at the end of 2024 in Artemis, the lighthouse project of Audi. As of 2026, E³ 2.0 is due to be scaled by the Volkswagen brand with Trinity in the volume segment.

About our Group

CARIAD COE (Centre of Excellence) is setup in Bangalore, India working exclusively with CARIAD and associated VW groups with the focus on development of ‘VW.OS”. The areas of work involve development of platform components such as firmware, boot loaders, AUTOSAR, Linux/QNX BSP, Service oriented architecture-based middleware components.

Job Title: AI Led (6–8 Years of relevant Experience)

Work location : Bangalore ( Hybrid)

Role Overview

The AI Lead will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying end‑to‑end AI solutions leveraging foundation models and other advanced machine learning approaches. This role requires strong technical leadership, hands‑on expertise in deep learning, and the ability to guide teams toward measurable, efficient, and scalable AI outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- End-to-End AI Solution Development
Design and implement complete AI solutions, including model development, deployment pipelines,



and mechanisms for continuous improvement of foundation models.
- Foundation Model Optimization
Develop processes, tools, and methodologies to refine, adapt, and enhance foundation models for real-world applications across image, video, and VLLM (Vision-Language Large Models) domains.
- Team Mentorship & Technical Leadership
Mentor and coach team members on experiment design, KPIs, benchmarking practices, and best‑in‑class evaluation methodologies.
- Deep Learning & Computer Vision Expertise
Contribute hands-on to the development of deep-learning-based computer vision algorithms and solutions.
- Foundation Model Application
Apply and fine‑tune foundation models—including image, video, and VLLM models—to solve complex business and engineering problems.

Programming & Frameworks

- - Python

- PyTorch

Cloud Platforms

- - Experience with any major cloud service provider (Azure preferred)

- Model Experience

- Solid understanding of large image, video, and VLLM foundation models
- Proven experience in model fine‑tuning, evaluation, and deploymen
