About the Role

We are seeking a Sr Purchase Engineer to manage procurement activities for direct and indirect materials, ensuring timely availability of quality products and services at competitive costs. The role will support manufacturing operations through strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and procure raw materials, components, equipment, and services as per business requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts to achieve cost-effective procurement.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and planning teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality, and delivery compliance.
- Generate purchase orders and maintain procurement documentation and records.
- Track inventory levels and support stock optimization initiatives.




- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- 8-12 years of experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of sourcing, vendor management, and procurement processes.
- Experience with ERP systems and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Robust negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in steel, rubber, automotive, engineering, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Knowledge of technical drawings, specifications, and engineering materials.
- Exposure to cost reduction and supplier development projects.
- Understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
