Roles & responsibilities
Reporting to a Group FP&A; Manager, the Group FP&A; Analyst will support the central FP&A; function across financial planning, reporting, modelling and analysis. The role will work across a range of FP&A; priorities, including investment finance, budgeting and forecasting.
The successful candidate will combine strong data and financial modelling capabilities with a sound understanding of finance, using complex financial and operational data to support planning, challenge assumptions and provide explicit insights for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
•Financial modelling and analysis: Develop and maintain robust financial and forecasting models, using financial and operational data to assess performance, identify trends and risks, challenge assumptions and support business decisions. •Planning and reporting: Support budgeting, forecasting and period-end reporting across investment finance and wider Group FP&A; priorities, including the preparation, consolidation and analysis of financial information and investment submissions. •Data management and controls: Extract, transform and combine data from multiple sources, maintaining appropriate validation, reconciliation and control checks to ensure outputs are accurate, consistent and reliable. •Insight and communication: Translate complex data and model outputs into clear conclusions, recommendations and actions, including insights into investment performance, costs, benefits and key assumptions. •Process improvement and collaboration: Work with stakeholders across Finance to coordinate inputs and deliver timely outputs, while identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate FP&A; models, reporting and processes. •·

Work experience
•Advanced financial modelling and data analysis skills, with experience building and maintaining models using large or complex datasets. •Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power Query or comparable data transformation tools is highly desirable. •Strong understanding of financial planning, reporting and accounting principles, gained through relevant professional experience, an accountancy qualification or a finance-related degree. •Experience with budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis or management reporting. •Ability to understand complex business questions and determine an appropriate analytical approach. •Ability to interpret results and communicate their financial and commercial implications clearly. •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and data quality. •Experience with SAP, Power BI, R, Python or other financial and analytical tools is desirable. •Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
