Overview
You’ll build the data and pipelines that sit behind TIDE. Your work will help cyber and exposure data move in a clean and reliable way from source to product. This role is about making data easy to use for others. You’ll work on ingestion, matching, validation, automation and support for the back end of analytics tools that help the business and its clients. You’ll work closely with the Technical Solutions Manager, the Product App Developer and domain specialists. Together, you’ll make sure the data is clear, well checked and ready for use in reports, apps and other tools. How You’ll Make an Impact You’ll build and maintain data pipelines that bring in structured and semi structured data from files, databases and third party APIs. You’ll turn raw data into trusted data by applying clear rules for transformation, matching, validation and enrichment. You’ll also help design data structures and interfaces that work well for downstream analytics and applications. You’ll look at current ways of working before you automate them. Then you’ll choose the right point to automate, add scheduling and alerts, and build in retry and exception handling. You’ll also measure whether the automation has reduced manual effort, and you’ll say so honestly when it hasn’t. Your responsibilities will include: building reliable ETL and ELT pipelines in Python and SQL using pandas or Polars to process and shape data working with Snowflake and Dataiku, or similar tools, to support data movement and orchestration writing automated tests and data checks that catch problems early documenting sources, rules, dependencies and how to run the work fixing the root cause when something fails, rather than relying on manual workarounds working with the Product App Developer and domain specialists so the data does what the product needs You’ll also make data lineage, quality checks and failure handling visible to the rest of the team.
That helps others understand what the data means, what it can and cannot do, and what it means for a client deliverable. About You Here’s what you’ll bring to the role: You’ve built production data pipelines in Python and SQL. You’ve used pandas or Polars to work with tabular data. You’ve designed ETL or ELT flows and connected third party APIs. You understand data modelling, validation, lineage and quality checks. You’ve used version control, automated tests and deployment steps in your work. You can turn an operational process into clear and maintainable workflow logic. You write documentation as part of delivery, not as an extra task. You’ve used AI coding tools such as Git Hub Copilot, Claude or ChatGPT, and you can talk through the prompts, context and checks you use. You’ve worked with imperfect data and set out clear validation rules. You’ve used Dataiku or a similar analytics or orchestration tool. You’ve worked with insurance, cyber security, entity resolution or exposure data. How you'll make an impact Your responsibilities will include: leading solution design for assigned products, integrations and workflows making clear decisions on data flows, APIs, applications, automation and supportability raising bigger architecture or security questions with the Technical Lead setting the standard for coding, testing, documentation and review reviewing designs and code, unblocking the team and coaching developers working with the Delivery & Commercial Lead and domain specialists so the team builds helpful, supportable and commercially relevant work supporting demonstrations and handover when technical explanation is needed building observability, access control, data handling and recoverability into solutions from the start owning technical documentation so someone else can support the product helping with incident fixes and root cause improvement About you Qualifications: University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience
