Company Description Amrita School of Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine (ASNSMM), established in 2006, focuses on cutting-edge translational research in nanotechnology, molecular medicine, and energy science. Located within the Amrita healthcare campus in Kochi, it is India’s first Nano-Bio Center and is recognized nationally and internationally for its work in nanomedicine and related fields. The school has secured approximately Rs.120 crores in research funding over ten years and receives strong support from major Indian government agencies and industry partners. ASNSMM has an extensive research portfolio with over 650 publications and more than 80 patents, and hosts a state-of-the-art GMP facility that supports nanotechnology start-ups and incubator cells.
Role Description The PhD Research Position is a full time, in office role based in Kochi, focused on advancing research in nanoformulations. The selected candidate will develop and evaluate nano-enabled ocular drug-delivery systems for improved access to the posterior eye.
Experimental work will include




• Formulation development and optimization of nano-based ocular drug-delivery systems
• Physicochemical characterization of developed formulations
• In vitro experiments for evaluation of formulation performance
• Ex vivo studies relevant to ocular drug delivery and formulation evaluation
• Animal studies for preclinical evaluation of the developed formulations
• Analysis, interpretation, documentation, and presentation of experimental finding and contribute to high-quality publications and patents.
• The role also includes preparing project reports, assisting in grant proposals, and engaging with industry or clinical partners as required by funded projects.

• Solid foundational knowledge in nanoscience, molecular medicine, biotechnology, materials science, physics, chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
