Roles and Responsibilities:
Hydraulic Power Pack Design
• Design hydraulic power packs and power units from customer specifications and hydraulic circuit diagrams.
• Size and select tanks, pumps, motors, valve blocks and manifolds, filters, coolers, heaters, accumulators, and instrumentation.
• Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, piping layouts, and tank fabrication drawings.
• Perform design calculations such as flow, pressure, power, tank capacity, heat balance, and pipe and hose sizing.
Hydraulic Cylinder Design
• Design hydraulic cylinders for gate operation and other heavy-duty applications.
• Carry out calculations for bore, rod diameter, stroke, buckling, wall thickness, and seal selection.
• Prepare detailed drawings of barrels, rods, pistons, glands, end caps and mounting arrangements.
• Specify materials, surface treatments, tolerances, and surface finishes.
Design Documentation & Release
• Prepare 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Prepare datasheets, technical specifications,



and bought-out item lists.
• Maintain drawing revisions and ensure timely design release in line with project schedules.
• Support customer drawing approvals and incorporate comments.
Standards, Compliance & Quality
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards (ISO, DIN, EN, ASME) and customer requirements.
• Support design reviews, FMEA, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with the Quality team on inspection plans, testing requirements, and FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) procedures.
• Support resolution of non-conformances and customer technical queries.
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Coordinate with the Montanhydraulik Group design centres on technical alignment.
• Work with Procurement, Production, Electrical/Control, and Service teams to ensure manufacturability and ease of assembly.
• Evaluate vendors and bought-out components, and support technical comparisons.
