Role Description The Senior Accountant – Export & Forex will manage day-to-day accounting and finance activities related to international tea exports and foreign exchange operations. This full time, in office role based in Kolkata includes preparing and reviewing export documentation, maintaining books of accounts, reconciling bank and forex transactions, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax, customs, and regulatory requirements. The role involves monitoring foreign currency inflows and outflows,



coordinating with banks on export finance, LC documentation, and hedging, and tracking realization of export proceeds. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with the export and logistics teams to align financial records with shipment details, prepare periodic MIS and financial reports, and support audits. The position requires proactive identification of discrepancies, strengthening internal controls, and contributing to process improvements in export and forex accounting.
Qualifications
• Strong skills in financial accounting, export invoicing, and maintenance of ledgers and books of accounts.
• Experience in export documentation, bank reconciliation, and handling letters of credit and export finance.
• Proficiency in foreign exchange accounting, monitoring currency exposure, and coordinating forex deals with banks.
