We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our health and fitness YouTube channel on a freelance / part-time, work-from-home basis.

The role involves editing both long-form YouTube videos and short-form content, including fitness workouts, educational videos, reels, shorts, promotional content, and social media clips.

Key Responsibilities
Edit raw footage into engaging, high-quality long-form YouTube videos and short-form content.
Select the best takes and create a smooth, engaging story flow.
Add transitions, sound effects, background music, and basic audio enhancements.
Perform color correction and color grading to maintain a consistent brand look.
Create and integrate motion graphics, titles, captions, overlays, and other on-screen elements.
Collaborate remotely with the content creator to understand the video's objective, tone, and creative direction.
Optimize videos for YouTube and social media platforms, following current content and engagement best practices.
Maintain an organized archive of raw footage, project files, graphics, and other video assets.
Deliver projects within agreed timelines and maintain consistency across all content.

Qualifications & Skills




Strong video editing and post-production skills for YouTube and social media.
Experience editing fitness, health, educational, or creator-focused content is preferred.
Positive understanding of color correction and color grading.
Ability to create engaging motion graphics, titles, captions, and visual effects.
Proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
Basic knowledge of audio editing, sound design, and music selection.
Robust understanding of YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other short-form video formats.
Good understanding of pacing, storytelling, hooks, retention, and viewer engagement.
Attention to detail and ability to follow creative briefs.
Robust communication and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines in a remote work environment.
A portfolio/showreel demonstrating previous video editing work is required.
