Position Overview

We're seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to build and enhance data solutions using BigQuery, with exposure to Looker and LookML being beneficial., while supporting data-driven and AI-enabled initiatives within the insurance domain. In this role, you will work closely with the Principal Data Architect, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to design, build, model, and maintain data solutions.



You will help optimize data architecture and improve accessibility of large-scale, multi-tenant datasets across environments (development, staging, production) and locales (US, Canada) for our global teams.

What You will Do

• Design, develop, and maintain BigQuery tables, views, functions, and stored procedures using BigQuery SQL and ANSI SQL.

• Design and implement scalable data models and data objects to support reporting, analytics, and business requirements.

• Apply data modeling best practices to ensure data quality, governance, performance, and usability across analytics and reporting solutions, including Looker where applicable.

• Own SQL deployment manifests (YAML-driven) and multi-setting/multi-locale rollout logic, ensuring protected and reliable deployments through GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
