Job Summary

The consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting tax-related processes across SAP modules while ensuring compliance with various indirect tax regulations such as VAT, GST, Sales & Use Tax, and Withholding Tax.

Key Responsibilities

Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure and maintain SAP tax determination processes across FI, SD, MM, and Procurement modules.Design, implement, and support indirect tax solutions including VAT, GST, Sales and Use Tax, and Withholding Tax.Integrate SAP with third-party tax engines such as Vertex, Avalara, Thomson Reuters, or similar platforms.Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP tax solutions.Support end-to-end implementation, upgrade, and migration projects, including SAP S/4HANA transformations.Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend process improvements.Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance teams, and external auditors to ensure tax compliance.Perform testing activities including unit testing, SIT, UAT,



and defect resolution.Provide production support and troubleshoot tax-related issues.Prepare functional specifications and support technical teams during developments and enhancements.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of:SAP FI Tax ConfigurationVAT/GST/Sales Tax DeterminationWithholding Tax (WHT)Tax Procedures and Condition TechniquesSAP SD-MM-FI IntegrationExperience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.Hands-on experience in tax engine integrations (Vertex, Avalara, etc.).Knowledge of tax reporting and compliance requirements.Experience in SAP implementation and support projects.Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

Hands-on experience in tax engine integrations (Vertex, Avalara, etc.).
