Material Inspection: Check incoming construction supplies (such as cement, aggregates, structural steel, and bricks) against approved material approval requests and mill test certificates.
Site and Process Inspections: Monitor active site work, including excavation depths, foundation preparation, formwork placement, reinforcement detailing, and concrete pouring.
Field Testing: Conduct and supervise routine in office tests, such as concrete slump tests, cube compressive strength tests, and soil compaction/density checks.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain daily inspection logs, fill out inspection and test reports (ITRs), and compile handover documentation.
Non-Conformance Management
Identify and document construction defects, issue non-conformance reports (NCRs), and track corrective or preventive actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Communication: Transparent reporting skills and the ability to guide contractors and labor teams on compliance requirements.
