Azure Data Factory & SQL Server Technical Lead – Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SQL Server Technical Lead to drive and deliver Azure-based Data Engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data integration and analytics solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end delivery of Azure Data Engineering projects, ensuring high-quality and timely execution.
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) , Azure SQL Database, and SQL Server.
Create and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large-scale structured and semi-structured datasets.
Architect scalable data solutions leveraging Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, and related Azure services.
Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, performance tuning,



and database optimization strategies.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to gather and translate data requirements.
Establish data quality, governance, security, and best practices across the data platform.
Mentor and guide data engineers, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to development standards.
Monitor production data pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance improvements.
Drive Agile delivery, estimation, sprint planning, and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle.

Skill Requirements

Required Skills: Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL Server, Azure SQL, T-SQL, ETL/ELT, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Modelling, CI/CD, Git/Azure DevOps, and solid leadership capabilities.
