Job Title: Senior Accountant (Local Candidate)

Department: Accounts / Finance

Job Purpose

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the school’s accounts, fees, payments, expenses, salaries, and financial records accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain daily school accounts and financial records.
Record all income and expenses properly.
Manage and maintain student fee records.
Prepare fee collection reports and pending fee statements.
Handle cash, bank transactions, receipts and payments.
Prepare bank reconciliation statements.
Maintain records of school bills, vouchers and invoices.
Check and process staff salary and other payments.
Maintain records of TDS, GST and other applicable statutory payments.
Prepare monthly and yearly financial reports for the management.
Assist in budget preparation and expense control.
Coordinate with auditors, banks, vendors and government departments when required.
Ensure that all accounts-related documents are properly filed and maintained.
Monitor outstanding payments and follow up when required.




Support the Principal and Management in financial and accounting matters.
Ensure that accounting work is completed accurately and within deadlines.

Required Qualification
B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent qualification.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
Knowledge of Tally / accounting software and MS Excel.
Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, ESI and other statutory requirements.

Experience
3–5 years of experience in accounting.
Experience in a school or educational institution will be preferred.

Skills Required
Good knowledge of MS Excel and Tally.
Robust numerical and calculation skills.
Positive communication and coordination skills.
Ability to maintain confidential financial information.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Valuable time management and organisational skills.
