Experienced CAM Programmer – 5 Axis required for developing, optimizing, and verifying CNC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis VMC/CNC machining.
Key Responsibilities
Develop CNC programs and toolpaths using CAM software.
Program 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis machining operations.
Interpret CAD models, engineering drawings and GD&T.;
Select cutting tools, fixtures, feeds, speeds and machining strategies.
Perform CAM simulation, collision checking and program verification.
Support machine setup, testing and first-piece prove-out.
Troubleshoot and optimize CNC programs and machining processes.
Coordinate with Production, Design, Tool Room and Quality teams.
Improve cycle time, productivity and machining quality.
Required Skills
Hands-on experience in 5-axis CAM programming.
Knowledge of simultaneous 5-axis and/or 3+2 machining.
Experience with Mastercam, PowerMill, NX CAM, HyperMILL or similar software.
Solid knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, feeds, speeds and cutting parameters.
Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T; and CAD models.
Knowledge of CNC controllers and machining processes.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
