Fixture Mounting: Install and align workholding devices, jigs, and vises on the machine bed. [1, 2, 3]
Raw Material Loading: Place raw metal or plastic blocks into the fixture securely. [1]
Cleanliness: Keep the work area clean and free of chips. [1]

Tooling and Offsets
Tool Selection: Choose the correct cutting tools, holders, and inserts for the job. [1, 2]
Tool Setting: Measure and load tools into the Automatic Tool Changer (ATC). [1]
Offset Configuration: Set exact tool length and diameter offsets, plus work coordinate offsets (like G54). [1, 2]
