Job Overview
Job Title: TGT English Teacher
Reporting To: Principal / Head of Department (HOD) / Academic Coordinator
Target Grades: Classes 6 to 10 (Middle and Secondary Sections)
Role Purpose: To deliver engaging English language and literature instruction, foster solid reading and communication skills, and ensure alignment with the CBSE Curriculum Framework.

Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and execute well-structured daily lesson plans covering prose, poetry, grammar, and creative writing based on CBSE guidelines.
Skill Development (LSRW): Focus on strengthening students' Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing proficiency through interactive methods.
Literary Engagement: Encourage reading habits and organize co-curricular activities like debates, elocution, creative writing, and dramatics.
Assessment & Evaluation: Design formative and summative assessments, track student performance, maintain academic portfolios, and offer constructive feedback.




Remedial Support: Identify learning gaps and conduct remedial or enrichment sessions for students who need extra help or advanced challenges.
Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning setting.
Parent Collaboration: Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to report individual student progress.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in English (B.A.) or related field; a Master’s Degree (M.A. in English) is often preferred.
Qualified Certification: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with English as a teaching methodology/specialization (mandatory as per CBSE norms).
Eligibility Test: Pass qualification in Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) or State TET (preferred/required by many institutions).
