CAD & BIM Lab Assistant – Civil Engineering

Job Summary

We are looking for a technically skilled CAD & BIM Lab Assistant to support Civil Engineering students and faculty in laboratory sessions, practical assignments, and academic projects. The candidate should have positive working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, 2D drafting, 3D modelling, and BIM concepts.

Key Responsibilities
Assist faculty and students during AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and Civil Engineering laboratory sessions.
Provide technical support for 2D drafting, 3D modelling, practical assignments, BIM activities, and student projects.
Guide students in the effective use of AutoCAD, Revit, and related Civil Engineering software.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot lab computers, software, equipment, and technical resources.
Maintain lab records, student submissions, equipment inventory, and software documentation.
Ensure all laboratory systems and software are functional before scheduled practical sessions.
Maintain a safe, organized, and student-friendly laboratory workplace.
Support the department during project reviews, demonstrations, workshops,



and other academic activities.

Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
Certification or additional training in AutoCAD / Revit / BIM will be an advantage.

Experience
0–5 years of relevant experience.
Freshers with solid practical knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit may also apply.

Required Skills
Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
Understanding of 2D drafting, 3D modelling, and BIM concepts.
Basic knowledge of Civil Engineering drawings and construction documentation.
Ability to troubleshoot basic computer and software-related issues.
Good communication skills and ability to assist students during practical sessions.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in an Engineering College, Polytechnic, CAD Training Centre, Architectural Firm, or Civil Engineering environment will be preferred.

Salary: As per Institution Norms / Negotiable based on experience and expertise.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
