Muhammed & Co., Chartered Accountants is looking for an experienced Audit Manager to lead and manage audit assignments, supervise audit teams, review working papers and ensure timely completion of client engagements.
This role is suitable for candidates with strong experience in Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Internal Audit and Financial Statement Review, preferably gained in a Chartered Accountancy firm.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, manage and complete Statutory Audits, Tax Audits and Internal Audits.
Lead and supervise audit teams and allocate assignments.
Review audit working papers, financial statements and supporting documents.
Review books of accounts and identify accounting, compliance and internal-control issues.
Ensure compliance with applicable Accounting Standards, Standards on Auditing and statutory requirements.
Handle audit queries and coordinate with clients for information and documentation.
Review audit observations and prepare/review audit reports.
Monitor audit deadlines and ensure assignments are completed on time.
Guide and train Audit Associates and junior team members.
Coordinate with management on significant audit findings and client matters.
Assist in improving audit procedures, checklists and internal controls.
Required Skills
Solid knowledge of Accounting and Auditing.
Good understanding of Statutory Audit, Tax Audit and Internal Audit.
Knowledge of Income Tax, GST and other applicable statutory compliances.
Experience in finalisation and review of financial statements.
Good working knowledge of Tally Prime and MS Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to independently handle audit assignments and manage a team.
Good communication and client-handling skills.
Qualification
CA / CA Inter / CMA / CMA Inter / M.Com or other relevant qualification with suitable audit experience.
Experience
Candidates with relevant experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm or Audit & Assurance environment will be preferred.
