Roles & Responsibilities
Consult with internal stakeholders (OPCO & DIIC) to define the scope of research projects
Collaborate with external partners, SMEs, OPCO stakeholders, and internal engineering teams to identify viable and high-potential solutions




Identify the infrastructure required for each project and ensure its availability—internally or externally—based on economic viability and usability
Lead and manage R&D; projects from concept through to deliverables; define milestones, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget
Identify emerging trends in materials science and hydrogen technologies; propose novel research directions and contribute to the organisation's IP portfolio
Hands-on experience in the following areas is essential:
Alloy Development for Hydrogen Applications:
Design, develop, and evaluate metallic alloys for hydrogen storage, transport, and infrastructure; assess hydrogen compatibility, embrittlement resistance, and long-term performance
Coatings Development & Optimization:
Develop and optimize protective and functional coatings using PVD, thermal spray, and electroless plating; tailor coating architectures for hydrogen bar
