We are seeking skilled and motivated Commis 1 & Commis 2 to join our kitchen team at Navi Mumbai Airport, specializing in Indian and South Indian cuisine. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in Indian cooking, a positive understanding of kitchen operations, and the ability to maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety. Key Responsibilities include preparing and cooking Indian cuisine according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines, assisting in the preparation of gravies, curries, dals, rice, breads, vegetables, and other Indian dishes. You will be expected to follow recipes, maintain portion control, and adhere to food presentation standards to ensure consistency in taste, quality, and appearance of food. Additionally, you will handle mise en place, ensuring all ingredients are properly prepared before service, and maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and workstations. Compliance with food safety and kitchen hygiene standards is essential, as is the ability to coordinate effectively with Senior Chefs, CDP,



and other kitchen team members during operations. You will also be responsible for minimizing food wastage and using ingredients efficiently, while supporting the team during peak hours and high-volume operations. The requirements for this position include relevant experience in Indian cuisine for Commis 1, while Commis 2 positions are open to freshers or candidates with relevant kitchen experience. A basic knowledge of Indian cooking techniques is required, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen workplace. A positive understanding of food hygiene and safety practices is essential, as is a willingness to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
