Position Overview

Our client is a growing manufacturing organisation operating in the water-treatment and water-management products sector. The company has a lean and entrepreneurial structure and is looking for a hands-on Plant Operations Manager to take ownership of day-to-day manufacturing and plant operations.

This is primarily an operational and manufacturing role and does not carry independent P&L; responsibility. The focus will be on production, productivity, quality, delivery, people management and overall plant efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day plant operations and ensure smooth and effective production.
Plan and monitor production schedules to meet delivery commitments.
Manage production manpower, shift planning and shop-floor discipline.
Drive productivity, efficiency, capacity utilisation and reduction of manufacturing losses.




Manage and improve Injection Moulding operations, including machine utilisation, cycle times, rejection, productivity and process parameters.
Ensure effective utilisation and maintenance of moulding machines, moulds, tools and related equipment.
Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase and other functions to ensure uninterrupted production.
Monitor rejection, rework, downtime and material wastage and implement corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes and shop-floor operations.
Ensure adherence to quality, safety and statutory requirements.
Prepare and monitor production MIS and operational reports for senior management.
Identify production bottlenecks and implement practical solutions.
Manage and develop the plant team and establish a culture of accountability and productivity.
Support recent product introduction, process improvements and manufacturing scale
