Okta is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their team in Bengaluru to help build the trusted, neutral infrastructure that secures identity for AI. This role focuses on developing production-grade AI applications and services, leveraging foundational AI services to enable organizations to safely embrace the recent era of AI. Responsibilities include designing and deploying scalable, resilient systems and influencing technical strategy across global teams.
Required
Qualifications:
9+ years
of experience in Python and its libraries (Pandas, Boto3) for data manipulation and ETL;
6+ years
of experience with contemporary front-end frameworks (React, Next.js, TypeScript); deep hands-on experience with AWS solutioning (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway); proven experience building and deploying production-grade AI applications; solid background in distributed systems,



microservices, and resilient APIs (REST/GraphQL); and demonstrated ability to lead architecture decisions.
Preferred
Qualifications: Experience with agentic frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith; AWS cloud certification or ERP foundation certificate. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience. The role is hybrid and requires excellent communication skills for cross-timezone collaboration.
