We are looking for a Quality Engineer – CMM with hands-on experience in CMM inspection, machine shop quality, supplier quality coordination, and dimensional inspection of mechanical components.
Job Purpose
To ensure product quality and compliance through CMM inspection, in-process inspection, first-sample inspection, NCR monitoring, and supplier quality follow-up. The role will support quality improvement across the machine shop and supplier components.
Key Responsibilities
Review daily CMM inspection reports, incoming casting status, and in-process inspection activities.
Carry out inspection of machine shop and supplier components as per defined CMM inspection plans.
Perform first sample inspection for machine shop and development parts.
Support development and modification of CMM inspection programs for recent/development components.
Prepare and maintain inspection check sheets, inspection plans, and work instructions.
Monitor daily NCRs and coordinate with suppliers for corrective actions and quality improvement.
Provide supplier feedback related to machine shop quality issues and monitor closure of corrective actions.
Monitor supplier quality actions, particularly for casting-related defects and non-conformities.
Conduct post-pack audit in the machine shop to ensure product quality before dispatch.
Maintain inspection records and support continuous improvement of inspection methods and quality processes.
Required Technical Skills
Hands-on experience in CMM inspection and dimensional measurement.
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
Experience in machine shop quality inspection.
Knowledge of first-piece / first-sample inspection.
Experience in NCR identification, documentation, and supplier follow-up.
Understanding of casting defects and supplier quality issues will be an advantag
