The Design & Engineering Unit at CUBE is a multidisciplinary technical group that provides integrated planning, design, and engineering support across a wide range of infrastructure, building, and urban development projects. The unit brings together expertise across structural engineering, MEP systems, cost estimation, and technical advisory, enabling a holistic and coordinated approach to project delivery. The unit plays a critical role in translating conceptual and architectural intent into technica ly robust, productive, and implementable designs. It works closely with internal teams, government agencies, and project stakeholders to ensure that a l engineering systems are aligned with functional requirements, regulatory standards, sustainability goals, and lifecycle performance considerations. Key capabilities of the unit include: Structural Engineering: Design, analysis, and optimization of structural systems for buildings and infrastructure, ensuring safety, durability, and cost efficiency. MEPF Systems Engineering: Integrated design and coordination of mechanical, electrical,



and plumbing systems, with a focus on performance, energy efficiency, and maintainability. Estimation & Cost Engineering: Preparation of detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and financial assessments to support project planning, budgeting, and procurement. Technical Due Diligence & Advisory: Review and validation of designs, specifications, and engineering proposals to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices. Interdisciplinary Coordination: Ensuring seamless integration between structural, architectural, and MEP systems to minimize conflicts and optimize overa l design outcomes. The unit is also increasingly engaged in advancing sustainable and resilient design practices, including energy-effective systems, water-sensitive design, and climate responsive infrastructure solutions, particularly in urban contexts.
