Job Purpose

The Senior Steward is responsible for delivering productive, skilled, and warm guest service while ensuring smooth day-to-day restaurant operations. The role involves supervising service standards, supporting the Captain and management team, coordinating with the kitchen and bar, and ensuring every guest receives a memorable dining experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service
Welcome and assist guests with a warm, qualified, and courteous approach.
Provide knowledgeable and attentive table service throughout the guest journey.
Present menus, explain dishes, beverages, promotions, and special recommendations when required.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely service.
Monitor guest satisfaction and proactively attend to guest requests or concerns.




Maintain professional communication and etiquette with guests at all times.
Handle guest feedback promptly and escalate complaints to the Captain or Manager when required.

Restaurant Operations
Ensure tables, service stations, cutlery, crockery, glassware, and equipment are properly arranged before service.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, grooming, and restaurant presentation.
Ensure smooth coordination between the service team, kitchen, bar, and stewarding department.
Assist in opening and closing procedures as per restaurant SOPs.
Ensure proper mise-en-place is completed before each service period.
Monitor table turnover and ensure tables are cleared and reset efficiently.
Support the Captain in maintaining smooth floor operations during peak hours.

Team Support & Supervision
Guide and support Stewards and junior service staff during operations.
Assist in training new team members on service standards, SOPs, menu knowledge,
