Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Scala Developer with strong expertise in Scala programming, Apache Spark, SQL, and distributed data processing. The candidate will be responsible for developing scalable applications and data processing solutions, building high-performance data pipelines, and working with large-volume datasets.

Mandatory Skills
613 years of software/data engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience in Scala.
Strong experience with Apache Spark / Spark SQL.
Valuable knowledge of SQL.
Robust understanding of functional programming concepts.
Experience developing scalable and distributed applications.
Experience working with large-volume structured and unstructured datasets.
Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and OOP concepts.
Experience with REST APIs / Microservices is preferred.
Positive understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Scala.




Develop high-performance data processing applications using Apache Spark.
Build and optimize batch and real-time data processing pipelines.
Write efficient Scala and Spark SQL code.
Perform data transformation, cleansing, aggregation, and validation.
Work with large datasets in distributed computing settings.
Optimize Spark jobs for performance, scalability, and resource utilization.
Troubleshoot application and data processing issues.
Develop and consume REST APIs where applicable.
Perform code reviews and follow coding standards and best practices.
Write unit and integration tests.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, Business Analysts, and other development teams.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, development, testing, and production deployments.
