About the Role:
A leading global financial services firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated legal professional to join its India legal team. This position will be based in Bangalore and will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end legal function for the firm’s India operations. Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full spectrum of legal affairs for the India geography, including advisory, regulatory, commercial, corporate, and employment law matters. Provide legal counsel on business operations, recent initiatives, regulatory changes, and corporate governance. Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and service-level arrangements.



Liaise with internal stakeholders (HR, Compliance, Finance, Technology, etc.) to ensure legal risks are managed effectively. Partner with external counsel on specialized legal matters and litigation (if any). Monitor changes in Indian legal and regulatory landscape and assess their impact on business operations. Ensure compliance with applicable Indian laws and regulations. Support cross-border legal initiatives in collaboration with legal teams in other geographies. Lead legal risk management and support internal policy development. Key Requirements:
LLB or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution; additional qualifications (e.g., CS, LLM) are a plus. 8–15 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in financial services, investment management, or with a top-tier law firm.
