About the Role
As a Platform Engineer, Google Cloud Platform, you will: •Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure and shared platform services on GCP. • Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and platform automation tooling. • Build and operate Kubernetes-based platforms and cloud-native services. • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and platform integrations. • Support cloud networking, identity management, observability, and operational tooling. • Collaborate with security teams to implement governance, compliance, and security controls. • Monitor platform health, availability, performance, and operational reliability. • Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident response and continuous improvement activities. • Create reusable templates, standards, and self-service capabilities that improve developer experience. • Partner with architects and engineering teams to enable adoption of cloud best practices. • Support cloud cost optimization initiatives and contribute to platform efficiency improvements. • Produce technical documentation, operational runbooks, and platform standards. About You You will likely possess: • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. • Experience building and operating solutions on Google Cloud Platform. • Strong knowledge of GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC, Cloud SQL, Big Query, and Cloud Monitoring. • Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices. • Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native technologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices. • Understanding of cloud security, networking, identity management, and governance principles. • Experience with Linux administration and scripting using Python, Bash, or similar languages. • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, observability, and Site Reliability Engineering practices. • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a passion for automation. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across globally distributed teams. Desirable Experience • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Engineer or related certifications. • Experience operating platforms in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and GCP). • Exposure to Fin Ops and cloud cost optimization practices. • Experience with cloud platform engineering, developer platforms, or Internal Developer Platforms (IDP). • Familiarity with platform security, policy-as-code, and cloud governance frameworks.
