Are you a creative, energetic wordsmith looking to kick-start your career in content strategy and copywriting? Join Decathlon Sports India for an intensive, Graduation Project as a Content Writing Intern. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your writing skills and passion for storytelling in a fast-paced, real-world retail and digital environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Copywriting Support: Draft and edit clear, engaging marketing copy across multiple formats, including website content, product descriptions, and promotional materials while maintaining brand consistency.

- Long-Form Content Creation: Research, write, edit, and upload in-depth articles for the Decathlon Blog, conducting interviews and gathering information to craft SEO-optimized content on sports and fitness.

- Campaign Concept Development: Collaborate on creative brainstorming sessions for upcoming marketing campaigns, helping iterate on initial ideas, explore different narrative angles, and refine core messaging.

- Brand Guardianship: Learn and apply Decathlon's brand voice to ensure messaging remains clear, consistent, and relatable across all written platforms and customer touchpoints.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside senior writers and marketing teams to translate commercial and brand objectives into cohesive, high-impact written copy.

Profile

Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Pursuing or recently completed a degree/certification in Journalism, Mass Communication, English Literature, Marketing, or a related field.

- Writing & Editing Skills: Solid foundational knowledge of writing principles, structural storytelling, grammar,



and editing across diverse formats (short-form copy to long-form editorial).

- SEO & Content Strategy: Basic understanding of SEO concepts, keyword integration, and structuring digital articles for search engine readability and audience engagement.

- Digital Native: Familiarity with current digital content trends, blogging platforms, and writing style adaptations for different digital audiences.

- Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, adaptability, and a proactive attitude toward receiving feedback and collaborating.

- Portfolio: A portfolio, writing sample collection, or blog showcasing previous editorial, academic, or creative writing work is highly preferred.

Case study

Task 1: Campaign Concept Deck

Brief: Create a marketing campaign concept for Decathlon Sports India for the upcoming monsoon season. Think beyond just rain, think play, movement, and the joy of staying active no matter the weather.

Your campaign deck should include:

- Campaign name & central idea (What’s the big thought?)

- Visual/tonal direction (Mood, messaging, and feel)

- Copy samples for the following channels:

- Email (Subject line + body)

- In-app banners (short, punchy lines)

- Push notifications (max 10–12 words)

- Social media posts (Instagram captions, tweet-style one-liners, etc.)
