There is an immediate need for an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations for Atomic North (Supra ITS) in India. if you are someone with 5+ years of progressive HR generalist experience, strong knowledge of Indian employment practices, and the confidence to partner directly with senior HR leadership in Canada then this position is for you.
LOCATION: This is an onsite role based in Noida, India, with regular office attendance required. The successful candidate must also be flexible and available to travel to Chennai and Jammu at designated times, based on business requirements.
REPORTS TO: Vice President People & Culture – North America (Ontario, Canada).
WORK SCHEDULE: Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Human Resources Manager – India is responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle for our India-based workforce while ensuring alignment with the organization’s global HR practices, values, and business objectives.
Working closely with the Vice President of Human Resources in Ontario, Canada, this role provides day-to-day HR leadership and operational support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, policy administration, compliance, payroll coordination, engagement, and offboarding.
The successful candidate will combine strong knowledge of Indian employment practices with the ability to work effectively within a global organization. This individual must be comfortable working independently, exercising sound judgement, maintaining confidentiality, and collaborating across countries, cultures, and time zones.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Operations and Administration
- Manage day-to-day HR operations for employees located in India.
- Maintain complete and accurate employee records, documentation, contracts, and personnel files.
- Prepare employment letters, amendments, confirmations, and other HR-related correspondence.
- Track probationary periods, contract end dates, employee changes, leave balances, and other important employment dates.
- Maintain HR trackers, reports, organizational charts, job descriptions, and employee information.
- Respond promptly and professionally to employee and leader questions.
- Ensure HR processes are completed consistently, accurately, and within established timelines.
- Provide regular HR updates and reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources.
RECRUITMENT AND WORKFORCE PLANNING
- Partner with hiring leaders and the Director of Talent Acquisition to understand staffing requirements.
- Follow the determined recruiting process and documentation; confirm that job descriptions, compensation, headcount, and required approvals are in place before recruitment begins.
- Manage or support job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, reference checks, offers, and pre-employment requirements.
- Provide hiring recommendations based on qualifications, experience, compensation expectations, and organizational fit.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and provide regular status updates.
- Support workforce planning, organizational changes, promotions, transfers, and succession discussions.
ONBOARDING AND OFFBOARDING
- Coordinate a structured onboarding process for new employees.
- Ensure employment documentation, identification, background checks, payroll information, equipment, system access, orientation, and required training are completed.
- Coordinate with IT, Payroll, Finance, Compliance, and hiring managers to ensure employees are properly set up.
- Conduct onboarding follow-ups during probation and support managers with probationary reviews.
- Coordinate employee departures, including documentation, final payroll information, statutory requirements, equipment returns, access removal, and exit interviews.
- Identify trends from onboarding and exit feedback and recommend improvements.
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
- Act as the first point of contact in India for employee questions, concerns, and workplace matters.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance, attendance, conduct, conflict resolution, and employee relations.
- Address workplace issues promptly, fairly, professionally, and confidentially.
- Support or conduct workplace reviews and investigations when required, under the direction of the Vice President of Human Resources.
- Escalate significant or sensitive matters promptly.
- Maintain objective and complete documentation regarding employee relations matters.
- Promote respectful communication, accountability, consistency, and a positive workplace culture.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT
- Coordinate probationary and performance review processes.
- Support managers in establishing transparent expectations, measurable goals, development plans, and performance improvement plans.
- Monitor completion of performance reviews and follow up with managers and employees as required.
- Assist with identifying training needs, skill gaps, development opportunities, and succession potential.
- Support leadership development and employee training initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of goals, performance discussions, training, certifications, and development plans.
POLICY DEVELOPMENT AND GLOBAL ALIGNMENT
- Work with the Vice President of Human Resources to review, develop, and implement HR policies and procedures for India.
- Help align India HR practices with the organization’s global standards while recognizing local legal and cultural requirements.
- Clearly identify when a global policy may conflict with Indian employment requirements or accepted local practices.
- Communicate new and updated policies to employees and managers.
- Track required employee acknowledgements and policy-related training.
- Support consistent application of policies across departments and locations.
- Recommend practical improvements to HR processes, documentation, and employee communications.
EMPLOYMENT COMPLIANCE
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable Indian employment laws, statutory requirements, and HR practices.
- Help ensure employment contracts, working hours, holidays, leave practices, payroll processes, statutory benefits, and terminations comply with applicable requirements.
- Coordinate with local legal counsel, payroll providers, consultants, and government authorities when required and authorized.
- Identify potential compliance risks and bring them promptly to the attention of the Vice President of Human Resources.
- Assist with audits and prepare required employment records and supporting documentation.
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality and data-protection standards when handling employee information.
PAYROLL, LEAVE AND BENEFITS COORDINATION
- Coordinate employee changes and payroll-related information with Finance and Payroll.
- Review payroll inputs for new hires, departures, compensation changes, incentives, leave, attendance, and deductions.
- Help ensure payroll information is accurate and submitted within established deadlines.
- Administer and track vacation, holidays, sick leave, and other applicable leaves.
- Respond to employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, leave, and HR policies, escalating matters when necessary.
- Support the administration of statutory and company-sponsored benefits.
- Work with Finance and external providers to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT AND CULTURE
- Support employee communication, recognition, engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Coordinate surveys, employee events, Town Halls, training sessions, and other workplace programs.
- Encourage employee participation and gather meaningful feedback.
- Support a professional, inclusive, respectful, and collaborative workplace.
- Identify employee concerns, workplace trends, and opportunities to improve the employee experience.
- Help strengthen communication and alignment between employees in India and leadership in Canada.
WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH CANADIAN HR LEADERSHIP
The Human Resources Manager – India reports directly to the Vice President of People & Culture located in Ontario, Canada.
The role is responsible for carrying out approved HR priorities and providing local knowledge and recommendations. Matters involving significant employee-relations risk, investigations, terminations, material compensation changes, organizational restructuring, policy exceptions, or potential legal exposure must be reviewed with the Vice President of People & Culture before action is taken.
The position requires regular communication and scheduled meetings during Eastern Standard Time business hours.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labour Relations, or a related discipline.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Postgraduate qualification or recognized HR certification is an asset.
- Previous experience independently supporting a workforce or business unit in India.
- Strong working knowledge of Indian employment practices and statutory requirements.
- Experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, policy administration, payroll coordination, and offboarding.
- Experience supporting a global organization or reporting to a leader outside India is strongly preferred.
- Experience in technology, managed services, cybersecurity, BPO, or professional services is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, HR information systems, and applicant-tracking systems.
Work-Schedule Requirement
This position is based in India but supports and reports directly to leadership in Ontario, Canada. The successful candidate must be available to work a schedule aligned with EST business hours.
The schedule may shift by one hour during the year because of daylight saving time in Canada. Flexibility may also occasionally be required to support urgent employee matters, meetings, or business needs.
