1. Job Summary
Kerala Vision Broadband Limited is looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Engineer to provide day-to-day IT support across offices, NOC locations and other company facilities. The role will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software and network-related issues, managing IT assets, supporting users, maintaining CCTV and other IT infrastructure, and coordinating with vendors to ensure smooth and uninterrupted IT operations.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in desktop support, Windows systems, LAN/Wi-Fi, networking, printers, CCTV, hardware/software troubleshooting and IT asset management, with good problem-solving and communication skills.
There are 2 openings - 1 in Kochi and 1 in Thrissur.
2. Key Responsibilities
End-User & Desktop Support
Provide first-level and second-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, operating system and connectivity-related issues.
Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, workstations, monitors, printers and other IT peripherals.
Diagnose and resolve hardware failures, OS issues, application errors, system performance problems and user-access issues.
Provide technical support through on-site visits, telephone and remote-access tools.
Configure recent systems and ensure they are ready for employee deployment.
Support employee onboarding and offboarding by configuring systems, user profiles, access and IT assets.
Network & Connectivity Support
Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity and basic network-related issues.
Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, access points and other connectivity equipment.
Assist in structured cabling, network point installation and connectivity testing.
Monitor network connectivity and escalate major network/infrastructure issues to the concerned technical team.
Support IT requirements at offices, NOC locations and other company facilities.
CCTV & Security Systems
Monitor and maintain CCTV systems and associated network connectivity.
Troubleshoot CCTV cameras, NVR/DVR, storage, connectivity and display-related issues.
Coordinate with vendors for installation, maintenance and repair of CCTV and related security infrastructure.
Maintain records of CCTV devices, locations and configurations.
Hardware & Software Management
Install operating systems, drivers, applications, security tools and other approved software.
Perform system formatting, imaging, configuration and standard software deployment.
Ensure systems are updated with required operating system and application patches.
Maintain software and hardware inventory and ensure proper allocation of IT assets.
Troubleshoot printers, scanners, biometric devices and other office IT equipment.
IT Asset Management
Maintain an updated inventory of computers, laptops, monitors, printers, networking equipment, CCTV equipment and other IT assets.
Record asset allocation, transfer, repair, replacement and return details.
Conduct periodic physical verification of IT assets.
Ensure proper tagging and documentation of IT assets.
IT Security & Data Protection
Ensure antivirus/endpoint security solutions are installed and updated on company systems.
Support implementation of basic IT security practices, access controls and system security measures.
Monitor systems for suspicious activities and report potential security incidents.
Assist in maintaining data backup and recovery procedures as instructed by the IT team.
Ensure company IT systems and data are handled in accordance with internal policies.
User Account & Access Support
Create, configure and disable user accounts and system access as authorized.
Support email, application, shared-folder and other IT access requirements.
Coordinate with relevant departments for employee joining, transfer and separation-related IT requirements.
Maintain proper records of user access and IT-related requests.
Vendor & AMC Coordination
Coordinate with external vendors/service providers for hardware, software, networking, CCTV, printers and other IT services.
Follow up on service requests, repairs, replacements and AMC-related activities.
Verify completed work and ensure proper resolution of reported issues.
Maintain service records, warranty details and vendor-related documentation.
IT Documentation & Reporting
Maintain IT asset records, system configurations, network details and other technical documentation.
Maintain records of reported incidents, troubleshooting activities and resolutions.
Prepare periodic IT support and maintenance reports.
Document recurring technical issues and recommended solutions.
Ensure proper handover and documentation for new IT installations and infrastructure changes.
IT Infrastructure Support
Assist in the installation, maintenance and expansion of IT infrastructure at company offices and NOC locations.
Support IT-related requirements during office shifting, renovation, new office setup and infrastructure projects.
Coordinate with civil, electrical, MEP, networking and other relevant teams wherever IT infrastructure requirements are involved.
Assist in testing and commissioning of newly installed IT systems and equipment.
3. Required Skills & Competencies
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good knowledge of Windows OS, desktop/laptop hardware and common business applications.
Basic to good knowledge of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi and network troubleshooting.
Hands-on knowledge of printers, scanners, biometric devices and other IT peripherals.
Basic knowledge of CCTV/NVR/DVR systems and IP-based CCTV networks.
Knowledge of antivirus, patch management and basic IT security practices.
Good IT asset management and documentation skills.
Ability to coordinate with vendors and internal departments.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and respond to IT support requirements within defined timelines.
4. Qualification & Experience
Education: Diploma / BCA / B.Sc. Computer Science / B.Tech / BE / equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science or related field.
Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience in IT support, desktop support, system administration or network support.
Candidates with hands-on experience supporting multiple offices/NOC environments will be preferred.

6. Preferred Candidate Profile
The candidate should be a hands-on IT professional who is comfortable travelling to different company locations when required, diagnosing technical issues independently, coordinating with users and vendors, and ensuring that day-to-day IT operations run smoothly.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
