Engineering Project Manager (Ruby on Rails)

Job Title: Engineering Project Manager (Ruby on Rails)

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery: Lead sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives for engineering teams.

Technical Leadership: Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex business requirements into actionable technical tasks.

Timeline & Risk Management: Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks to keep development on schedule.

Stakeholder Management: Provide regular, transparent status updates to executive leadership regarding project health, timelines, and resource allocation.

Resource Optimization:



Manage engineering capacity and resource allocation across multiple parallel workstreams.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 9+ years of experience in technical project management, program management, or engineering leadership roles.

Core Technical Expertise: Solid past experience or deep conceptual understanding of Ruby on Rails frameworks, architecture, and deployment pipelines.

Secondary Technical Skills: Familiarity with Java (for legacy service integration or enterprise microservices) and React (for contemporary front-end workflows and state management).

Agile Frameworks: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP is highly preferred, with a proven track record of managing Jira or Concurrency boards.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to navigate difficult trade-off conversations between speed, scope, and quality.

Mandatory Skills: Ruby on Rails .
