Incentive: ₹250 for every successfully won tender
About the Role
KVP Wires & Cables is looking for a Government Tender & GeM Executive to manage government, PSU and institutional tender opportunities for our wires and cables business.
The candidate will be responsible for the complete tender cycle, from identifying suitable tenders and preparing documentation to submitting bids, resolving portal issues and following up on successful orders.
Key Responsibilities
Tender Search & Identification
- Search daily for relevant wire and cable tenders.
- Identify opportunities on GeM, IREPS and other government e-procurement portals.
- Track tenders from Railways, DISCOMs, PWD, CPWD, PSUs, municipalities and other government departments.
- Maintain a daily tender tracker.
- Identify tenders suitable for KVP based on product, value, eligibility and technical requirements.
Tender Evaluation
- Download and carefully study tender documents.
- Check technical specifications and product requirements.
- Verify eligibility criteria, turnover, experience, EMD, tender fees and other conditions.
- Coordinate with management before participating.
- Monitor corrigenda, amendments and deadline changes.
Bid Preparation & Submission
- Prepare and submit online tenders within deadlines.
- Coordinate all required technical and commercial documents.
- Maintain documents such as:
- BIS certificates
- IS 694 compliance
- CML certificates
- GST documents
- MSME certificates
- Test certificates
- Experience certificates
- EMD
- Undertakings and declarations
- Coordinate with accounts, production and management for pricing and documentation.
- Ensure zero missed deadlines and minimum documentation errors.
GeM Responsibilities
- Search and participate in relevant GeM bids.
- Manage GeM seller activities and bid submissions.
- Monitor GeM orders and buyer communications.
- Handle product/catalogue-related requirements.
- Raise and follow up on GeM Helpdesk tickets.
- Resolve issues relating to:
- Seller account
- Product/catalogue
- Brand approval
- Bid submission
- Portal errors
- Orders
- Payments
- Buyer disputes
- Follow up with GeM support until issues are resolved.
IREPS & Other Portals
- Search and participate in IREPS / Indian Railways tenders.
- Handle tender registration, document downloads and online submissions.
- Monitor corrigenda and tender amendments.
- Handle technical issues and support requests on IREPS and other e-procurement portals.
Post-Tender Responsibilities
- Track technical evaluation and financial bid opening.
- Monitor tender results.
- Maintain Won / Lost / Rejected / Under Evaluation records.
- Follow up for LOA, purchase orders and related documentation.
- Coordinate with the internal team after receiving an order.
- Maintain a database of government customers and tender history.
Candidate Requirements
- 2–4 years of practical experience in GeM/e-tendering preferred.
- IREPS experience will be an advantage.
- Experience in wires & cables, electrical products, manufacturing or government procurement preferred.
- Good knowledge of government tender procedures.
- Solid Excel and documentation skills.
- Ability to understand technical specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong follow-up and communication skills.
- Ability to independently handle GeM/portal problems.
- Comfortable communicating with government procurement portals/helpdesks.
Performance Incentive
₹250 per successfully won tender.
The incentive will be paid after the tender is officially awarded / purchase order is received.
No incentive for: rejected, cancelled or unsuccessful tenders.
Example
If the employee wins:
- 10 tenders → ₹2,500 incentive
- 20 tenders → ₹5,000
- 50 tenders → ₹12,500
- 100 tenders → ₹25,000
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who can independently handle:
Pay: ₹22,000.00 per month
