Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with 5+ years of experience in production support, reliability engineering, DevOps, observability, and release management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining highly reliable production environments, improving engineering productivity, managing incidents, and driving automation and operational excellence.

This is a remote contract opportunity requiring strong hands-on experience with production systems and the ability to work effectively in an on-call and incident-response environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and improve Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and production support processes.
- Monitor system health, reliability, performance, and availability.
- Handle security vulnerabilities, patching, and holistic production fixes.
- Manage release processes, branching strategies, frequent deployments, and rollback mechanisms.
- Implement and maintain observability, monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing solutions, including tools such as Sentry.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, build processes, linting, and developer productivity workflows.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, escalation management, and post-incident reviews.
- Create and maintain operational runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and support documentation.
- Develop and maintain QA automation,



test harnesses, and critical-path release gates.
- Improve incident and request routing, SLA tracking, and ticket visibility.
- Identify recurring operational issues and implement automation or permanent fixes.
- Collaborate with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to improve system reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of professional experience in SRE, DevOps, production engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of production support and reliability engineering practices.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and release management.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, logging, and tracing tools.
- Solid understanding of incident management, escalation processes, and on-call operations.
- Experience with security patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Knowledge of automated testing and release quality gates.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Immediate availability or 0-day notice period preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with high-availability and production-critical systems.
- Experience implementing SRE best practices and reliability metrics.
- Familiarity with tools such as Sentry and other modern observability platforms.
- Experience improving deployment frequency, rollback capabilities, and engineering productivity.

Pay: ₹130,000.00 - ₹140,000.00 per month
