Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer – Production with strong hands-on experience in Plastic Injection Moulding, shop-floor production operations, manpower handling, production planning and rejection control.

The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day injection moulding production, achieving production targets, controlling rejection and wastage, managing shop-floor manpower and coordinating with Quality, Maintenance and Stores teams.

Candidates with hands-on Injection Moulding production experience and strong shop-floor manpower handling experience will be preferred.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Shop-Floor Management

- Plan and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.
- Manage day-to-day Injection Moulding shop-floor operations.
- Allocate manpower according to production requirements, machines and shift plans.
- Handle and supervise production operators, helpers and shop-floor manpower.
- Monitor machine-wise and shift-wise production performance.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials and production time.
- Identify production bottlenecks and take immediate corrective actions.

Rejection & Quality Control – Key Responsibility

- Monitor daily production rejection and rejection percentage.
- Prepare and maintain machine-wise, mould-wise, product-wise and shift-wise rejection data.
- Analyze rejection reasons such as process variation, mould-related issues, machine parameters, material issues and operator-related problems.
- Identify major rejection trends and take corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with the Quality team to reduce rejection, rework and process losses.
- Track production vs. rejection and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain proper production and rejection records for review by management.

Production Planning & PPC

- Prepare and execute daily production plans as per order requirements.
- Coordinate production schedules with PPC,



Stores, Quality and Maintenance.
- Ensure timely availability and issuance of raw materials for production.
- Monitor production achievement against planned targets.
- Ensure smooth changeover and effective utilization of machines and moulds.
- Follow up on pending production and take corrective action to achieve dispatch requirements.

Process Improvement

- Implement Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, CAPA, 4M and 3M practices.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce rejection, downtime and wastage.
- Support standardization of production processes and work methods.
- Monitor process parameters and ensure production is carried out as per defined specifications.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective action for recurring production issues.

Team & Manpower Management

- Handle shop-floor manpower and production teams effectively.
- Plan manpower deployment according to machine loading and production requirements.
- Monitor operator performance, attendance and productivity.
- Train operators and helpers on production processes, work instructions and quality requirements.
- Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to production procedures and safety practices.

Documentation & Coordination

- Ensure completion of daily production reports, check sheets and process records.
- Maintain production, rejection, rework and productivity data.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, PPC and other departments.
- Prepare and review production-related reports using MS Excel.
- Escalate major production, quality or machine-related issues to management.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in Plastic Injection Moulding Production.
- Robust shop-floor manpower handling experience.
- Good knowledge of Production Planning & Control (PPC).
- Practical experience in production rejection calculation, monitoring and reduction.




- Ability to analyze rejection data and identify root causes.
- Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, Kaizen, 5S, CAPA, Poka-Yoke, 4M and 3M.
- Good knowledge of production processes, machine utilization and productivity monitoring.
- Strong team handling and problem-solving skills.
- Positive working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- ERP/MRP knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Good coordination and communication skills.

Mandatory Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

- 5–8 years of relevant Production / Manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on Plastic Injection Moulding experience.
- Strong experience in Injection Moulding shop-floor operations.
- Hands-on experience in manpower handling and production team supervision.
- Experience in production rejection monitoring, calculation and reduction.
- Experience in production planning and achieving daily production targets.
- B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Candidates without relevant Injection Moulding Production experience will not be considered.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should currently be working in a Plastic Injection Moulding / Plastics Manufacturing company as a Senior Production Engineer, Production Engineer, Shift In-Charge, Production Supervisor or similar role.

Candidates who have independently handled machines + manpower + production targets + rejection control on the shop floor will be strongly preferred.
