Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist with a strong background in Metal, Iron & Steel, Oil & Gas, Heavy Engineering, or Industrial Manufacturing.

The candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier management, price negotiation, procurement planning, cost control, and ensuring timely availability of materials required for business operations and projects.

Candidates with procurement experience in general industries such as FMCG, Retail, IT, Pharma, Hospitality, or Education will not be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement procurement strategies based on business and project requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for industrial materials and products.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, quality requirements, and delivery schedules.
- Manage the complete procurement process from purchase requisition to material delivery.
- Obtain and compare supplier quotations and conduct cost analysis.
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost savings and competitive pricing.
- Monitor supplier performance, material quality, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Engineering, and other internal teams for procurement requirements.
- Manage procurement of raw materials, industrial components, equipment, MRO items, and project-related materials.
- Monitor market prices, supplier capacity, material availability, and sourcing opportunities.
- Identify and manage supplier, supply, quality, and delivery risks.
- Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, supplier information,



and reports.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and applicable requirements.
- Support vendor development, process improvements, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Required Industry Experience

Candidates must have relevant procurement experience in one or more of the following industries:

- Metal Industry
- Iron & Steel Industry
- Oil & Gas Industry
- Heavy Engineering
- Industrial Manufacturing
- Engineering / Manufacturing Projects
- Industrial Equipment or Components

Experience in procurement of metals, steel, raw materials, industrial components, equipment, MRO materials, or project materials will be highly preferred.

Requirements

- 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain.
- Relevant experience in Metal, Iron & Steel, Oil & Gas, Heavy Engineering, or Industrial Manufacturing is required.
- Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
- Experience in vendor evaluation and development.
- Good understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
- Strong knowledge of cost analysis and quotation comparison.
- Positive knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Experience with ERP or procurement software will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement activities and deadlines.
