1. ROLE PURPOSE

The Junior Interior Designer is responsible for supporting the design team in developing functional, practical, and visually appealing interior designs based on client requirements and company standards.

The role involves assisting in concept development, preparing drawings and 3D visualizations, selecting materials and finishes, making design revisions, and coordinating with production and site teams for proper execution.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Design Development

- Understand client requirements, preferences, budget, and project scope.
- Assist in developing interior design concepts and layouts.
- Prepare space planning and furniture layouts.
- Develop designs according to project requirements and company standards.
- Suggest suitable colours, materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories.
- Ensure designs are practical and suitable for production and installation.

B. 3D Design & Visualization

- Prepare 3D models and realistic interior visualizations.
- Develop renders according to approved concepts.
- Present design options to senior designers and clients when required.
- Make necessary changes to 3D designs based on feedback.
- Maintain consistency between 2D drawings and 3D designs.

C. Material & Product Selection

- Assist in selecting suitable materials, finishes, colours, hardware, and accessories.
- Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to obtain material information and samples.
- Maintain knowledge of available materials and current interior design trends.
- Ensure selected materials are suitable for the approved design and project budget.

D. Client Coordination

- Assist senior designers during client discussions and presentations.
- Understand and record client requirements accurately.
- Prepare design revisions based on approved feedback.
- Communicate design-related information professionally.
- Ensure client changes are properly documented before implementation.





E. Production & Site Coordination

- Coordinate with production and site teams regarding design requirements.
- Clarify design-related doubts during production and installation.
- Visit project sites when required to understand actual site conditions.
- Verify that executed work generally follows the approved design and drawings.
- Report design deviations or site-related issues to the concerned senior/team lead.

F. Project Documentation

- Maintain project-wise design files and folders.
- Maintain approved drawings, revisions, renders, material references, and related documents.
- Ensure the latest approved drawings are shared with the relevant departments.
- Follow the company's documentation and file-management procedures.

3. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Freshers with relevant educational background may be considered.
- 0–2 years of experience in interior design is preferred.
- Experience in residential or commercial interior projects will be an advantage.

4. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

- AutoCAD
- SketchUp / 3D modelling software
- 3D rendering software
- Photoshop or similar design software
- MS Office
- Basic knowledge of interior materials and hardware
- Basic understanding of furniture and modular interior construction
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings

The Junior Interior Designer is responsible for delivering accurate, practical, and visually appealing design outputs within the assigned timelines, while ensuring proper coordination with senior designers, production, procurement, and site teams to support smooth project execution.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
