Title: Tooling Engineer (NPD)

Location: Sriperambadur

Experience: 4-5 years (Preferably Automotive tool development)

Qualification: BE/Dip in Mech/Plastic Engineering/Plastic Technology (CIPET, NTTF, IGTR, CTTC)

Salary: Up to 6 lakhs

Job Responsibilities:

This role is mainly responsible for developing and managing new injection moulds/tools from initial design through production.

Key responsibilities:

- Track tool development from start to final customer PTR/approval.
- Coordinate with tool makers, Design, Engineering, PE, APQP and Projects teams.
- Prepare tool cost estimates and RFQs, and select suitable tool makers.
- Support DFM and tool design reviews.
- Monitor tool quality, timelines and development costs.
- Coordinate tool trials, validation and corrections.




- Ensure tools are completed and handed over to production on time.
- Minimize tool modifications after production launch.
- Drive continuous improvement in tooling projects.

Key Skills:

o Valuable communication and coordination skills.

o Knowledge of plastic moulding/ injection moulding process preferred.

o Ability to work with cross functional teams (Engineering, Design, PE, APQP, Projects etc).

o Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

o Project management and time management skills.
