Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and target-driven Admission Counsellor with prior experience in student admissions, education counselling or admission consulting.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience counselling students and parents for admissions into one or more of the following:

- MBBS / Medical UG
- MDMS / Medical PG
- BTECH / BE
- MBA / PGDM

You will be responsible for speaking with students and parents, understanding their academic profile and admission requirements, explaining suitable course and college options, handling objections, conducting counselling sessions, following up with prospective students, and converting qualified enquiries into admissions.

This is an admissions consulting role and not a psychology, therapy, or mental health counselling position.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents regarding MBBS, MDMS, BTECH and MBA admissions.
- Understand students' academic background, entrance examination scores, rank, category, domicile, career goals and budget.
- Recommend suitable courses, colleges and admission pathways based on the student's profile.
- Explain admission procedures, counselling rounds, eligibility criteria, fee structures, documentation requirements and timelines.
- Conduct counselling sessions through phone calls and in-person meetings.
- Handle leads generated through phone calls, WhatsApp, website, social media, referrals and other channels.
- Follow up consistently with prospective students and parents throughout the admission journey.
- Handle questions, concerns and objections professionally and confidently.
- Build trust with students and parents through accurate, transparent and ethical admission guidance.




- Maintain accurate lead information, counselling notes and follow-up schedules in the company's systems.
- Coordinate with internal admission and operations teams to ensure a smooth admission process.
- Stay updated on entrance examinations, counselling processes, admission notifications, college updates and higher education trends.
- Maintain strong relationships with students and parents from initial counselling through admission completion.

Required Experience

Candidates must have prior professional experience in admissions, education counselling or a closely related role.

Experience counselling students for one or more of the following courses is strongly preferred:

Medical Admissions

- MBBS Admissions
- MDMS / Medical PG Admissions
- NEET UG Counselling
- NEET PG Counselling
- Medical College Admissions
- Management / NRI Quota Admissions

Engineering Admissions

- Engineering Admissions
- JEE Counselling
- KCET Counselling
- COMEDK Counselling
- BTECH / BE Admissions

Management Admissions

- MBA/PGDM Admissions
- CAT / MAT / CMAT related admissions
- MBA College Admissions
- Management Quota Admissions

Candidates with experience across multiple course categories will be preferred.

Required Skills

- Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Hindi is mandatory for this position.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Confident in speaking with students and parents.
- Strong counselling and consultative selling skills.
- Ability to understand student requirements and recommend suitable options.
- Strong objection-handling and negotiation skills.
- Excellent follow-up discipline and lead management skills.
- Ability to explain complex admission processes in a simple and convincing manner.
- Target-oriented and comfortable working with monthly conversion and revenue targets.
- Good listening and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional phone etiquette.
- Basic knowledge of CRM systems, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.

- Believe in ethical counselling while remaining commercially focused on conversions.
- Can build trust and maintain solid relationships with students and parents.
