Function Summary
Introduction: Group Credit Life insurance is a specialized product offered by life insurance companies designed to cover the outstanding loan amount in case the borrower passes away during the loan tenure. This insurance is typically purchased by financial institutions like banks and NBFCs to protect their loan portfolios and reduce credit risk.
Job Summary
The Field Loan Supervisor (FLS) in the Group Credit Life Insurance department is responsible for overseeing and managing the field operations related to credit life insurance policies linked with loans. This role involves coordinating with loan officers, ensuring compliance with insurance guidelines, managing customer relations, and driving insurance premium collections linked to loans.




Key Responsibilities:

- Field Operations Management:

o Supervise and coordinate activities of field agents/loan officers selling group credit life insurance.
o Monitor and ensure timely submission of credit life insurance proposals from loan officers.
o Conduct regular field visits to support and guide loan officers on insurance policy sales and documentation.

- Credit Life Insurance Policy Management:

o Verify the accuracy and completeness of insurance proposals linked with loan disbursements.
o Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements regarding credit life insurance.
o Facilitate smooth issuance and activation of group credit life policies for loan clients.

- Customer Service & Relations:

o Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints related to credit life insurance.
o Assist in explaining policy benefits, claims processes, and premium payment schedules to borrowers.
o Coordinate with claims department to expedite claim settlements where applicable.

- Collections & Reporting:

o Monitor and follow up on insurance premium collections linked to loan repayments.
o Prepare and submit regular reports on field activities, policy sales, and collections to management.
o Identify gaps or issues in field operations and recommend corrective actions.

- Team Leadership & Training:

o Train and mentor loan officers on credit life insurance products,



documentation, and sales techniques.
o Motivate and lead the field team to achieve sales targets and service quality standards.

Desired qualification and experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Insurance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in insurance sales, preferably in group credit life insurance.
- Strong understanding of credit life insurance products, loan processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and in field environments.
- Proficient in MS Office and insurance-related software/tools.
