We are looking for a highly experienced L3 Senior Security Specialist with strong hands-on expertise in IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM) / IBM Security Verify Access (ISVA).

The role will serve as a senior technical escalation and engineering resource, responsible for architecture, platform upgrades, advanced authentication, SSO and federation integrations, high availability, disaster recovery, and complex production troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate should have robust enterprise-level experience with ISAM/ISVA and be capable of independently handling complex L3 incidents and leading technical implementations.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture, Upgrades & Deployment

- Plan, design, and execute ISAM/ISVA platform upgrades, firmware updates, fix-packs, and security enhancements.
- Design and maintain High Availability (HA) clusters, Disaster Recovery (DR) environments, and cross-site replication.
- Lead deployment planning, technical validation, production implementation, and post-upgrade verification.
- Manage security enhancements, cipher updates, and feature upgrades across the Access Management platform.
- Support platform failovers, DR exercises, and production recovery activities.

Advanced Authentication & Integration

- Lead enterprise SSO integrations using SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and WS-Trust.
- Configure and troubleshoot Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA/2FA) and advanced authentication workflows.
- Implement FIDO2/WebAuthn and passwordless authentication solutions.
- Design and maintain AAC (Advanced Access Control) rules, access policies,



and step-up authentication.
- Configure and troubleshoot WebSEAL reverse-proxy junctions and application integrations.
- Troubleshoot complex authentication, federation, session management, and application integration issues.

L3 Escalation & Engineering Support

- Act as the primary L3 escalation point for complex ISAM/ISVA production issues.
- Troubleshoot authentication failures, SSO issues, federation problems, WebSEAL/junction errors, and session-related issues.
- Perform advanced root-cause analysis and implement permanent solutions for critical incidents.
- Provide technical leadership during major incidents, platform changes, failovers, and DR exercises.
- Create architecture documents, technical integration guides, troubleshooting guides, and SOPs for L1/L2 teams.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and other technical teams to resolve complex issues.

Required Skills & Experience

- 6+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM) / IBM Security Verify Access (ISVA).
- Strong enterprise-level experience in ISAM/ISVA deployment, administration, architecture, and troubleshooting.
- Expert knowledge of WebSEAL, AAC, Federation,



reverse-proxy architecture, and session management.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- SAML 2.0
- OAuth 2.0
- OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- MFA / 2FA
- FIDO2 / WebAuthn
- Passwordless authentication
- Proven experience designing and implementing SSO and application authentication integrations.
- Hands-on experience with ISAM/ISVA upgrades, fix-packs, firmware updates, and security enhancements.
- Strong experience with HA architecture, DR site implementation, cross-site replication, failover, and production recovery.
- Proven L3 troubleshooting and escalation-handling experience.
- Strong understanding of access-control policies and advanced authentication flows.
- Excellent technical documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience supporting large enterprise or critical production environments.
- Experience leading major platform upgrades and migrations.
- Experience working with geographically distributed HA/DR environments.
- Experience providing technical guidance to L1/L2 engineering teams.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is a senior ISAM/ISVA professional who can take ownership of complex access-management environments, lead L3 escalations, design authentication solutions, and independently manage critical production issues.

Candidates with strong hands-on enterprise ISAM/ISVA experience and expertise in SSO, federation, WebSEAL, AAC, MFA, and DR will be preferred.
