About the Role

Kolo SmartSelect is an independent homeowner advisory platform that helps homeowners in Kerala and across India make informed decisions on floor plans, quotations, materials, professionals, costing and contracts. Behind that advice sits a set of Gen-AI prompt systems that analyse quotations, generate BOQs and cost estimates, review floor plans and contracts, and produce 3D visualisations.

As AI Prompt Engineering & Advisory Intelligence Specialist – Kolo SmartSelect, you will own these prompt systems: run them, improve them, and use them to deliver precise, benchmarked reports to the Advisory team for live homeowner projects. Advisors talk to homeowners; you make sure what they say is accurate and defensible.

Key Responsibilities

Prompt System Ownership

- Own, version and improve Kolo's prompt systems for quotation analysis, BOQ and cost estimation, architectural quotation audits, floor plan review, 3D visualisation and contract review.
- Convert every correction or edge case from live projects into a prompt change the same week, and regression-test changes against past projects before release.
- Keep prompts portable across Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini, routing each task to the model that does it best.

Advisory Report Production

- Produce multi-vendor construction and interior quotation comparison reports: scope-by-scope comparison, rate benchmarking, technical winners, clarifications to seek, and a final ranking and recommendation.
- Produce architectural quotation audits, cost estimate reports and procurement-grade BOQs from floor plans and drawings.
- Run floor plan reviews and generate 3D elevation and interior visualisations that follow the floor plan.
- Draft short, ask-first vendor clarification documents.
- Hold every report to Kolo's standards: no price estimated or assumed, winners declared on technical merit, and the decisive findings in the first three to four pages.

Advisor Support





- Act as the analytical back-office for the Advisors: take in quotations, drawings and contracts, return finished reports within agreed turnaround, and brief Advisors before homeowner calls.
- Train Advisors on briefing requests and reading the outputs.

Market Intelligence and Knowledge Base

- Maintain Kolo's quotation knowledge base, market rate bands, brand trackers and red-flag libraries, capturing learnings from every new project.
- Extend market coverage as Kolo expands into Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and other states.

Product and Tooling

- Support AI-driven features in Kolo's homeowner app with prompt logic, test data and QA.
- Build light automation (scripts, JSON schemas, report generation) so report production needs less manual work over time.
- Propose new AI-assisted advisory outputs where homeowner questions repeat.

Who Should Apply

Gen-AI Expertise (must-have): Expert, daily use of Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini at production level. You have written and maintained long, rule-based system prompts with schemas and worked examples, not just chat prompts, and can make a model extract from a long scanned quotation, reconcile numbers, follow a locked format and never invent a figure. Structured outputs (JSON), prompt versioning and testing, and image-generation prompting for architectural renders are expected. Agentic tools and APIs are a plus.

Analytical Thinking (must-have): Rigorous with numbers. You can rebuild a vendor's total from line items, compute weighted ₹/sq.ft rates, and tell a competitive rate from a scope omission. You check the model's arithmetic rather than trust it.

Domain Understanding (strong advantage): Working knowledge of residential construction and interiors: construction stages, BOQ structure, interior materials (plywood grades, MDF/HDF, laminates, hardware), drawing sets and Kerala construction practice. A B.Arch, Civil Engineering, quantity-surveying or interior-design background shortens the learning curve.

Technical Skills:



Python or JavaScript for light automation; advanced Excel and Word.

Ownership and Entrepreneurial Mindset: You will inherit a working system and run it without supervision from month two: set your own turnaround commitments, fix what breaks before anyone asks, and look for the next homeowner problem a prompt system could solve.

Communication: Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory. Malayalam is a strong advantage (quotations, drawings and contracts are often in Malayalam); Hindi helps with homeowners outside Kerala.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.

Experience: 3+ years overall, with at least 18 months of hands-on Gen-AI work you can evidence: prompt systems you built, what they produced, and how you improved them. A portfolio or worked sample will be requested at the first round.

What Success Looks Like

- Running every report type independently within three months, with reports delivered within agreed turnaround and minimal rework.
- Prompt systems versioned, documented and regression-tested; knowledge base updated from every project handled.
- Advisors treat your reports as the default basis for homeowner recommendations, and at least one new AI-assisted advisory output ships to homeowners in the first year.

Hiring Process

- Portfolio screen: two or three prompt systems or AI-built outputs you own.
- Take-home task (3 to 4 hours): analyse two anonymised quotations with the Gen-AI tools of your choice; we assess rigour and handling of missing data, not polish.
- Working session with the Project Manager on your take-home and a live prompt.
- Conversation with the Advisory lead and founders.
