Position’s overall objective

Product owner for high-frequency power converters in India, as part of the electrical engineering competence pool. Takes over the engineering of these converters from our group company, delivers order and enquiry engineering on time and error-free, and works on transformer-rectifier sets and LV control cabinets within the pool at the assigned competence level.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Product owner for high-frequency power converters in India: order engineering, enquiry engineering, technical documentation and change management.

2. Electrical design: converter power stage, selection of power semiconductors and magnetics, heat-loss and cooling calculation, control and protection, wiring diagrams in EPLAN.

3. Control and communication: control philosophy, I/O lists, Modbus and other communication interfaces, signal lists for HMI and DCS, functional testing.

4. Knowledge transfer from group engineering experts: shadowing, dual review and documented handover, becoming independent within the agreed transfer period.

5. Competence pool: support transformer-rectifier and control cabinet engineering at the assigned level, and review the work of other engineers according to the engineering process for creation, review and approval.

6. Support production, testing and FAT, after-sales and commissioning, including root cause analysis and NCR closure.

7. Sourcing support: component specifications and technical evaluation of suppliers.

8. Standards and improvement: IEC compliance, EPLAN macros and standard modules, cost reduction and standardisation.

Authorities

 Release converter engineering documents after review, according to the engineering process.





 Technical decisions on converters within approved design rules; escalate deviations to the Senior Manager – HV Engineering.

 Technical contact for group companies on converter orders and enquiries.

 Raise NCR and carry out root cause analysis.

 Visit customers, suppliers and group companies for technical work. Work activities

 Order engineering and BOM preparation for converter orders.

 Technical clarification and costing input for enquiries.

 Design reviews of own and others’ work within the competence pool.

 Knowledge transfer sessions with group experts; maintain own competence plan.

 FAT and testing support; remote and site commissioning support when required.

 Preparation of guidelines, standard modules and EPLAN macros.

 Cost reduction and standardisation projects.

Requirements

Education: BE / BTech in Electrical, Electronics or Power Electronics engineering; ME / MTech desirable.

Experience: 5–8 years in engineering of high-frequency power electronics converters, such as switch-mode power supplies, inverters, drives, UPS or rectifiers.

Hands-on experience with converter design, power semiconductors, EPLAN, control cabinet design, PLC I/O and communication interfaces, and product testing.

Personality traits: Positive, self-motivated, quick learner, analytical, good communication, takes ownership, works well in a team.

Language: English – positive reading, writing and speaking, for daily work with international teams. Hindi and Marathi desirable.

Other: EPLAN Electric P8; Microsoft toolset.

Experience with power supplies for ESP or other industrial high voltage applications is an advantage.

Valid passport; willing to travel in India and abroad.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
